Both ideal ways to explore the countryside, up close and at your own pace, stopping off to see the sights along the way and resting with a well-earned picnic or pub lunch! The Caravan Club encourages its members to walk and cycle in the local area surrounding their sites - what better way to discover an area than by bike or foot. The Caravan Club and The National Cycle Network offer the perfect combination, providing a welcoming base from which to explore the UK through a comprehensive network of signed, safe and attractive routes. Around one third of the network is on traffic-free paths, such as railway paths, canal towpaths and forest tracks, with the rest following quiet lanes or traffic calmed roads. Many Caravan Club Sites are within 5 miles of The National Cycle Network routes.
